  The Single Vineyards

What are The Single Vineyards?
Some vineyards contain conditions that include soils and extraordinary micro-climatic conditions that favour particularly the cultivation of very specific types of vine.

The grapes grown in these vineyards develop better quality and reach greater potential, giving rise to wines that exhibit exceptional personality and style.

Throughout the centuries every wine growing region has pinpointed specific locations that have been given names such as: "Crus" in Bordeaux and Champagne, "Domaines" in Burgundy, "Vigneti" in Italy and "Finques" in Catalonia.
The Single Vineyards: the best inheritance

Bodegas Torres has sought out among its lands all those that give its wines great personality and elegance. We have found:

· Soils and microclimates that imprint their character of certain grape varieties.

· Cultivation techniques that respect nature and do not harm the vine.

· Grapes that produce inimitable wines that reveal their origin as well as the Torres family tradition.

At the moment we own 111 hectares of Single Vineyards. We have located very specific soils where we have planted selected vines that produce limited yields so as to increase quality in our most prestigious wines.

Our Single Vineyards are:
Grans Muralles
Some of our best land. We have recovered the identity of some ancestral Mediterranean vines here.

Mas la Plana
In Pacs we have our historic estate, making the king of cabernet Sauvignon wines of Spain.

Milmanda
The Milmanda estate is exceptional and has been designated to making the exclusive and sought-after Chardonnay, our most elegant white.

Fransola
Within the Fransola estate we find a special vineyard that gives us another of our most elegant white wines.

Mas Borras
An exclusive vineyard that produces one of our best liked red wines, made from Pinot Noir.

Santa Margarida d'Agulladolç
Located at a high altitude location and presided over by a Romanesque chapel dating from the 12th century.

Manso de Velasco
The Manso de Velasco Single Vineyards owes its name to the Spanish governor who founded the city of Curicó in 1743.

Don Miguel
Our first North American vineyard carries the name of the family patriarch.
