Brandy, how it's made and how it's enjoyed
Brandy is a spirit with an alcohol content of 36º to 45º volume, made by distilling wine and then aging the liquid in oak barrels.
Brandy is an English word from the Dutch term "Brandejwin", meaning burnt wine.
